Guest guest
As I recall, Andy says that ALA reduces the excretion of zinc and copper. This does not mean that we should cut out all supplementation of zinc. After I started using ALA, I cut my zinc supplementation from 100 mg per day to 50 mg per day, and that seems to work fine for me. -----Katharine wrote: > > Second question: just checking but aren't we suppose to lower our > zinc > > once we have started chelation? > > > TK--- we generally need to supplement zinc ---I think I have read to half zinc dose after starting ALA due to reduced excretion. ALA helps your body to retain zinc. I think the exact amount can be somewhat individual, but basically you need less once you start using ALA. I also think it is a good idea to increase it temporarily for illness. -- --

If you eat more when on ALA then you are getting enough Zinc. -- is
