Hi Everyone,

I don't have the full report as it is in the mail to me but Dr. Raghu's nurse

called me and read me the crux of the report. My CT scan still is

showing scarring (what else is new - right?) but the areas that were new areas

indicative of infection in the Jan '09 CT are resolved and NO NEW AREAS

indicative of infection are showing! This is such fabulous news. All my

previous CT scans showed the old areas resolved and always there were 'new

areas' as well. In Jan '09 Dr. Raghu put me on 20mg omraprazole and we started

weening me off the FloVent 220mg 4x daily (inhaled steroids) which I was

completely off by March.

I am hoping I can join the group of other people who are keeping their ILD from

progressing by management of their GERD. I already feel less indigestion! LOL

By all means if you think or even if you don't suspect (I really argued with him

as I didn't think I had GERD but immediately saw a change in my voice and my

husband couldn't detect the stomach acid odor after starting on the omraprazole)

that you have GERD check into it. It might just save your life.

I'm still waiting on the 24 hour torture test results so I'll give you all the

full details on that when I get it. I think I'm going to go to the Farmer's

Market now and get some good fresh food with lots of antioxidants for dinner.
