Guest guest
A bit off-topic maybe.. Brief history: Got (really) sick autumn 2006. Had all amalgam fillings removed by april 2007. Started chelation may 2007. Have only been able to tolerate DMSa in relatively small doses (33 mg every 3 hours at the most). Low carb. diet ('no' sugar, no yeast) since spring 2007. While chelating I have been fighting yeast with garlic, cocnut oil, goldenseal and aloe vera juice. Due to increasing GI truble I have taken a break from chelation for some weeks to treat candida. I was first given something called Fluconazol, which didn't give me much trouble and even made me feel abit better after a while. After having finished the Fluconazol I'm now using Nystatin. I'm supposed to start with one pill (200mg) a day for three days, then increase to two pills for another three days and so on until I reach 4 pills (2+2). One pill a day was ok, then two pills a day was ok for 3-4 days but then I ended up feeling really bad; more fategued, muscles burning, tired etc. I guess that the recomended increase of dosage was too much for me. I have temporarily stopped the Nystatin. From what I understand toxins are released when the yeast dies. Does yeast hold mercury so that mercury is released also ? My doctor said that this reaction is likely to be caused by the fact hat my body (-> liver) is not able to clear out the toxins fast enough. To help with this he wants med to take NAC. Does this make sense ? Isn't NAC high sulfur ? If this is caused by reduced detox capasity in my liver, what can I do to improve this (except chelate...) ? I haven't had any spesific liver tests done, other than those that show wether I have a liver disease or not. I guess I have proven to myself that DMSA aggrevates the yeast. Will ALA do this as well ? Regards, Kyrre (feeling sick and tired in more ways than one...)
