Hi all,

Has anyone got tips for lowering high total cholesterol (and high LDL)

without the use of drugs (statins)?

One suggestion I've recently learnt is that cholesterol can be raised when

the endocrine glands are left exhausted, adrenal in particular, and can no

longer convert cholesterol into adrenal hormones.

My mom has high cholesterol and is in Toronto, Canada. What options does she

have in Canada for adrenal and female hormone testing?

There are no private doc's right?

Can she send saliva tests over the border, and is there anyone she can see

near Toronto that can help her with proper prescriptions of bio-identical

hormones if need be?

Thanks,

Dean

Hi Dean,

Cholesterol is not the bad guy - it's a marker of inflammation - it's

better to address the cause rather than the symptom of a problem.

A Herbal mix that supports the liver and heart can be a good start - St

" s Thistle, Hawthorn and Globe Artichoke could be very helpful. All

three of them seem to be well tolerated by most people and they could be

used individually if needed,

Gail.
