Guest guest
Feeling weepy and old. Just came back from taking Yeshaya to the airport, saw him through all the El Al security. Got a bit worried at the checkin desk as the woman in front of us, who kept us waiting for ages, had apparently lost her seat bc someone else had checked in as *her*. The delay, although annoying, did mean that El Al was taking this seriously and were trying to trace the imposter. Told Y to make sure he said the prayer for travelling with extra fervour. DH kept telling anyone he knew even vaguely to keep an eye on Y until Y was ready to scream. " I'm NOT a baby! " he told him, " I don't want people coming up to me and asking me if I am OK!! If I'd wanted someone looking after me, I'd have asked YOU to come with! " Thank God for mobiles. He is taking his English one with, even though he knows using it in Israel is on pain of death, as it's so expensive. He intends only using it for a few texts. Dov will get him an Israeli pay as you go one probably tomorrow, so we can keep in touch, and he can order pizza :-) But in the meantime it was useful today, as he called me to tell me he had arrived at the right gate. (El Al depart from the furthest possible gate, away from everyone, it's quite a trek.) I miss him already!! Ruthie
