Hi Jackie-

How much ACE do people usually take?

---------I think this varies alot by person. A few people have reported

reacting to smaller doses, and have had to start out on low doses and build up.

Sunshine has had some really good posts about his experiences with this. And

looking back, I think that's what happened to me the first time I tried it,

started out trying to take too much. Anyway, now I tolerate higher doses with

no problem.

I believe Sunshine says he takes 1000mg/day now, and I take a minimum of

500mg/day, and sometimes 750mg. I have taken as much as 1000mg/day when I was

working on building up my dose, but after a couple of days, it would feel like

too much. So I have settled on the 500-750 range for now.--------Jackie

I have Allergy Research ACE and the label says one cap per day. Is that

usually enough?

-----------Is this the Allergy Research/Nutricology brand that contains 250mg

per capsule? If so, then that is what I am using, and what the parents from A-M

use also, and they/I take more than one a day. I am currently taking 2-3

capsules a day, with 4 being the most I have ever taken.

If I remember right, haven't you seen ? Does she have you on

adrenal support? Did she put you on Cytozyme-AD? If you want to chat offline

about this, just drop me a line. I used Cytozyme-AD for quite awhile after she

prescribed it for me, but I have switched to the above, because it is much

cheaper and I wanted to try higher dosages.

Also, if you or anyone has never taken ACE and wants to try a smaller dose,

Thorne sells 50mg capsules, and this is what Andy had originally recommended,

but said to take many capsules a day. So it can be a good starting point, and

then if you find you tolerate larger doses, then you can move to the above ones,

with 250mg/capsule, and is a better deal.---------Jackie
