salt water for adrenals?

Why is drinking a glass of salted water every morning a good thing to

do for those with adrenal fatigue/hypoadrenalism?

Is it recommended for *everyone* with adrenal fatigue, or just some?

(I'd like to figure out if I should start doing it...).

Also, what type of salt do you prefer?

Thanks.

I use Himalayan crystal salt because its the purest form and most

beneficial to health IMHO. Other rock salts should be good too. Sea

salt is next and is also good but it comes from the sea which is

polluted so its not as good as rock/crystal salt IMHO. Table salt is

a poison and should never be used under any circumstances by

anyone……………… ever.

I am taking about 1.5 to 2 teaspoons diluted in water spread

throughout the day and I have been at that level for about 11 months

and I have been on a high salt diet for 22 months and its really

helped.

My water is salted to taste…if it tastes good that the right

amount….if it tastes bad...thats too much.....if you can't taste it…

its not enough.

I would like to repeat the original poster's question...WHY is salt

good for adrenals? Most everyone agrees it is, but exactly why?

Cortisol tells the kidneys to retain sodium. People with insufficient

cortisol tend to lose sodium, and need to replace some. Aldosterone

is produced by the adrenals and regulates sodium potassium balance.

People with poor adrenal function often are not producing the right

amount of aldosterone at the right times and consequently need to

replace sodium. Some people need lots of sodium replacement every day.
