Guest guest
Pat I am sure you are dreading more surgery just as I was. Just let me say I had the second colon resection end of August and feel better then I have since before the cancer was first found in 2003. I really had a bad time with infections and felt terrible for months after my first resect and swore would never have another surgery. Sometimes we do not have a choice and I had to have the second one done because a striture closed my rectum up and in three pet scans showed a mass lit up outside my colon. The good news is the mass even though it showed up in Pet scans was scar tissue and that is also what closed my rectum. I was 9 hrs in surgery because they had to cut so much scar tissue out. I came home on the 8th day and except for getting more tired then usual would never know I had surgery except I in general felt much better. I think you will feel better after surgery and the sooner it is done the better. The waiting and wondering is the worst part. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Hang in there!
