Guest guest
, They found blood clot in my leg a year ago October. I too had Lovinox in the hospital for two days, then they would not let me go home until I filled a prescription for 10 more days of it at home. (My Husband loved giving me those injections, lol.) Anyway then I went on Cumiden and have been on it every since. In the hospital the Hemotologist/Oncologist said he would find out why I had the clots and did test after test until the colonoscopy where my tumor was found. When I was in the hospital for my resection, in February, they did another ultrasound on my leg to see if the clot was gone, but found another one. So I may never get off of this medicine. The problem with it is, I can not eat salads, broccoli, actually anything green and leafy. Anything with vitamin K, which is an anticoagulant. I have to get my blood checked about every two weeks because my INR has not been stable. I go from 1.6 to 4.0, just up and down. I get so frustrated, because I really try my best to avoid all the no no's I'm not supposed to have. I don't know if the lung clots require different treatment so don't know if this little history will help. Hope so!! Pat
