Gallbladder attack (ugh!)

Something I've been doing has provoked what I'm pretty sure was a

gallbladder attack today, along with severe intestinal spasms. Only

now, after several hours, has it passed and I can sit up again.

There's a couple things I've been wondering about - first I think I

might be taking too much milk thistle, which I just started 3 or 4

days ago. Didn't seem like an issue till now, but I was noticing

pressure andspasming and gurgling around my gallbladder when I would

take that. I figured that was a good thing. I don't really know the

potency, since I bought the bulk herb and put it in " 00 " capsules.

I've also been using aloe ferox (occasionally) which seems to have a

similar effect.

But I've read that if the liver is toxic, then the bile being released

is toxic and it irritates the intestines, and possibly causes any

number of reactions. So it would follow that doing too much of

something that is causing bile to release is not a good idea. Somehow

that seems like what happened today where I had a sudden reaction

after eating something that was not reactive, but had taken milk

thistle with it. I felt better after a hour or so. But then awhile

later, I decided to eat a grapefruit. I immediately had a full-on

attack. Not sure if this info is meaningful, but if anyone has any

comment as to what could cause such a thing (i.e. too much milk

thistle - or the grapefruit?), I'd appreciate it. I would really like

to do the liver detox panel, but can't afford to just now.

Thanks,

~ C.
