Guest guest
> From: Lonnie > Phoebe and Eloisa might be normal but spelling wise... Still I think they are > pretty names They are pretty names, for some reason I always here them as French though? I guess they are actually 'old english' names? > sorry got me started again but I do love names ;o) Ok ... you said it ... I'm having terrible dilemmas about Babi's name, her first name will be Nia (pronounced Near) but it's the middle names ... both and Mari have two middle names: Francis Mari Sian Rhosyn The first name purely by choice the other names are family names. Mari's 2nd name is my middle name and her 3rd name was my maternal grandmother. I want Nia to have her 2nd name after me and her 3rd name after her paternal grandmother to follow the same pattern so potentially: Nia Madlen Nia Jenni Madlen Nia Gwenni Madlen Nia Gwenhwyfar Madlen Nia Gwennan Madlen Nia Sian Madlen HELP >>>>>>>> problem is I don't think any of them 'run' nicely together >>>>>>> any different combinations/ideas etc. welcome/needed ... unless I come up with something I'm going to lose this battle as Gethyn wants her to just have one middle name because he thinks two are excessive but I'd hate her to think we ran out of names when we got to her!! Jenni ( & Gethyn) 17yrs, Mari 3yrs (H/B) Babi Bach: 37wks+ (Planning Home Water-Birth)
Guest guest
Jenni I like Nia Madlen The best just flows beautifully together ;o).. W regards to Phoebe and Eloisa.. Phoebe is Greek and Eloisa is either Hebrew (if you take it from coming from ) or Teutonic (if coming from Louise) Phoebe and Eloise where both names that was popular in shall we say upper class families around 1900.. (so making me feel we should go for another name like it if its a girl but dh doesn't see it <g>) BTW I love the name Nia I know a little girl called Nia and I just adore it so pretty and sweet.. Lonnie Phoebe & Eloisa's mama & expecting a Christmas delivery... My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what you start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of chips and a Chocolate cake. I feel better already.

Just posted on this! think Gethyn just feels it's " over the top " ! personally I like giving 3 names because I like to use family names. When I register them for school etc. I actually only use their first and surnames. > I thought maybe DD2 was my last chance of naming a girl so slipped it > in anyway at the registry office. I was able to give Mari 2 middle names because I said if we called her: Mari Rhosyn it would translate in English to Rose and Gethyn didn't like that so I slipped Sian in too and I think he was fed up arguing by that stage anyhow Jenni ( & Gethyn) 17yrs, Mari 3yrs (H/B) Babi Bach: 37wks+ (Planning Home Water-Birth) " If you don't know your options - you don't have any "

DH has three names and said people laugh - my sister (also three names) pointed out they were laughing because the third name is Barry. And once one has three names, the others have to have three (I envy my younger sister her three!) We also worked it out so that the rhythm of the names is the same for both, and the 'period' is the same. -- jennifer@... Vaudin

It was very noticeable when I worked as a chartered accountant that you had to have three names to make it to the top - all the partners (or so it seemed) in KPMG, London had 3 initials. Lynda R Garland - doomed to failure.
