RE: My pre-diabetic counsel session

Well got a call yesterday morning asking if I could come in at 1pm instead

of 3, and I said great.

Had a really nice chat with her. Glucose readings, cholesterol readings are

not all that high but do need to come down, my HDL is 55 and she that was

super good. So then she said you will be a quick fix, would you like to go

to the nutrition class at 2 pm. Could I say no??/ Well turns out it was

same class that I went to last year before I .

got cancer or should say before my cancer was discovered. So that is okay, a

refresher course doesn't hurt/

Course hard to count carbs if the are none in the pantry or fridge. LOL>..

Going to buy a couple things today but refuse to spend what little money I

have on food that will probably get eaten up while I am gone for the

weekend.

The diabetic nurse told me about the Angel Food Ministries. Can buy a

bunch of food for just $25. Have to pay for it in advance and then pick it

up the next week, actually more like 2 weeks.. The deadline for Nov. is pay

on the Nov 6, and pick it up the 19th, that is 13 days to wait.. LOL What

money we got now had to be for food NOW, now 2 weeks from now. LOL.. But it

is enough last a week or even two..

So if you know someone who is in need then pass this on.

Look for your state and your town. We actually have two place involved here

where I live.

Really cool idea. Sure a blessing to some folks.

Anyway after I got out of the nut class, was going to go to the pharmacy and

pick up some my excema cream, but were all sorts of folks there, worse than

during the day.. Was already 4 pm. So said heck with it and came home. I was

pooped. LOL.

So now have to learn to count my carbs, plus also have to watch salt intake,

and fats as well.. Groan..

Sounds like work but sure would like to lose a few pounds. Just losing 10

lbs would make adifference in how I feel.

Enough now, time to vacuum the dining room.
