Hi Donna....rice pudding is an excellent idea. Think I'll go make

some...he's craving something chocolate, but I refused to buy it when I went to

drug

store earlier. Maybe home made rice pudding would serve the purpose.... good

idea, as the rice is what he needs in that nasty colon of his!!!

Anyway, if any of us was able to follow the perfect anti-cancer diet, we

would indeed stop eating Abba Zabba bars, Sugar Babies, and other refined

sugar

goodies. My best to those of you who can do this. I can't. I am too

stressed. Donelle: maybe this is my way of " smoking " to aleviate the

stress. It

is probably just as bad.

Love to all,

in California

ROFLMAO....you are too sweet!!! (Pun intended) One good thing, tho,

... you won't get lung cancer or chronic bronchitis/pneumonia from

Sugar

Babies!!! Glenn figures if the cancer cells can BEAT the chemo poison that was

being dumped in to his body, then he doesn't have a shot anyway...so he may

as well eat something good!!

What is an Abba Zabba bar?? That's a new one for me.... is it a " left

coast " thing??

Very cool here today, also...but beautiful sunshine, which we haven't seen

for over 9 days on the eastcoast!!!

Oh Donelle: If you can't find an Abba Zabba bar, send me your address and

they will be on the way! They are peanut butter filled with a white chewy

taffy on the outside. Skinny and long and come in a yellow package with yellow

and black checkerboard squares. Yummy. A treat from my childhood (and they

seem to come out around Halloween time).

Everything I have read says the same thing Donelle, and the kinesiologist gave

me articles written by MD's acknowledging this too. Like everyone else, I

probably started out great cutting out the sugars but as the nerves and anxiety

kicked in, so did the sugar cravings.

Have you tried Miso soup for Glenn and how about Phil? It is suppose to be

good for us. It is a broth, sometimes with little onions and seaweed in it.

You can find it at some grocery stores. Check the oriental section. I just

tried it last night, not bad.

How about rice pudding? I thought about that for Karima too.....you get your

rice and some sweetness!

I love sweets and so does Glenn....here are just a couple articles... do a

Google search for sugar and cancer.... there are 76 PAGES of articles, etc.

related to this. I know none of these doctors who wrote these articles...don't

know if any are " substantiated " or not...and certainly have not read all of

them.

Glenn's Onc. did tell him that " oxygen starves the cells and sugar feeds the

cells " .

Like , tho Glenn is Diabetic...at this point he eats anything he can

manage to eat to not starve to death...he hasn't even checked his blood sugar

in the last 6 wks., which I'm not condoning, but he is basically starving to

death right now with having had severe diarrhea for the past 6 wks.

constantly, every day and night. Think I'll make him check it right

now...while I'm

thinking about it. Just curious more than anything. I don't see how it could

be high as nothing stays in him long enough to be of any nutrional value.
