Guest guest
You two are bringing back so many bad memories, my heart bleed for you. I have something I would like to share with you. Last January was so sick they did not think he would make the night. He had a horrible abscess of the lungs from the radiation. The had been pumping him with various antibiotics for the abscess and the diareah. It seemed everything they gave him created more weakness and a new problem. I do not remember who called in the Infectious disease doctor, but that was the best thing they ever did. They had on a high powered drip and it seemed to be working. The Infectious disease doctor came up with a pill form of the drug that he could be sent home with. I was under the impression that a Infectious disease doctor was only used for someone that had a disease that could easily be spread. He nailed the type of infection the first time after doing some blood and sputum testing. I hate the old " let's try this and if it does not work we will use something else " method. You might want to ask for this type of doctor and at least know what type of infection your dealing with. Too many antibiotics just create more problems. Saying lots of prayers for both of you gals.
