Guest guest
SSOOOO glad your having FUNNN. You go girl and check in when you can. Love and Prayers, Peggy IPF 2004, FloridaWorry looks around, Sorry looks back, Faith looks up. Hey Air Family..I've been AWAY....a winter sojourn at an old fashioned fisherman's village called 'Wooli'..in the Yuraygir National Park just to the south of Lismore...the Sistas & our Finch (tiny Aussie Bird) came too & we had 2 glorious weeks of beach walking/frolicking/eating oysters, prawns & fish/ kayaking in my hubbies new 2 person PEDAL 'Hobie' kayak. It was such fun..I had no trouble pedalling away..he used Paddles but he also had pedals if we really wanted to fang it!Use Google Earth Map it to see just how gorgeous it is..not a high rise in sight! We were staying at 'Ripples', 15 Riverside Drive in an old cottage that's had lots of extra bits tacked on over the years. It had a great room up in the roof with glass along the river side where we enjoyed the views across the water to the pristine National Park on the other side. Our daughter & her family joined us for both weekends there & other friends came down for overnight dinner visits on & off..we've booked it again for next year it was so relaxing. The Sistas had a ball...they got introduced to WAVES...FOAM...but Seagulls were definitely their favourite pastime! We even gave them a turn in the kayak...it looks as though we'll be able to have them onboard for some little trips..they have to get used to the wobbles & the fact that our legs are pedalling instead of just being cushions for their little selves!Got back on the weekend..been busy unpacking...now I have to get ready to fly away to Sydney on Friday..the grandkid's school holidays & we're all going down to show them the big city...their family is driving down so we'll have a car to get around in ..Sydney is a stretched out sort of city.I used my new Airsep Freestyle POC to help while I pack/ unpack the van & on the beach walks. It's really versatile & I found it very comfy to wear as a backpack. I have had to get a heat resistant insert that fits snugle behind the unit within the backpack arrangement..it does warm up & would feel uncomfortable during our summer weather If I didn't do that. It'll be great for plane travel too as its alowed onboard all our domestic airlines & many International ones too. I won't be getting my right hand done until late August..too much coming up for another session of being disabled! When I get back from Sydney I have a distasteful surgical session coming up for 'women's business'.....renovations required....sooner it's done the sooner I'm functioning properly!Soooo Peggy, BWBB et al .....you can expect me to be a rather unreliable presence on the Board for the next little while!Take care everyone...I'll be catching up on posts whenever I can.lots of love, in Oz
Guest guest
Thanks for the update. Glad you had so much fun. I'll try to look all that area up and then just get more jealous of you. Glad the Airsep helped. You can't teach the sistas how to pedal the kayak? > > > Hey Air Family..I've been AWAY....a winter sojourn at an old fashioned > fisherman's village called 'Wooli'..in the Yuraygir National Park just > to the south of Lismore...the Sistas & our Finch (tiny Aussie Bird) > came too & we had 2 glorious weeks of beach walking/frolicking/eating > oysters, prawns & fish/ kayaking in my hubbies new 2 person PEDAL > 'Hobie' kayak.
