Peggy,

I have been on 10 mg of pred (for Lupus) for 4 years and have also taken Zolpidem 10mg for the past year. I have never had any side effects other than grogginess in the morning. I usually take my sleep meds about 8pm and hit the sack about 9pm. That way I can get up at a reasonable time in the morning. This of course is just my personal experience and others may be effected in vastly different ways.

, Just get into bed then take the pill. relax and hopefully it will help you. I hope you have read up on prednisone. not good for IPF. Don't be to afraid of the sleeping pill.. I used to not sleep even with them.. hate that stuff.

Take care of you.

Worry looks around,

Sorry looks back,

Faith looks up.

My doc prescribed Zolpidem 10mg to help me sleep while on Prednisone. This will be my first night to take it, should I cut the dose in 1/2? Any other comments or things I should be aware of?
