Rev. A. May Pastor of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church Rev.

A. May, 46, 2641 Maple St., formerly of Baltimore, Md., died Monday, December

5, 2005, at his residence, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was

born October 21, 1959, in Baltimore, Md., son of J. May and the late

n C. Papparotto May. A 1977 graduate of Arch Bishop Curley High School,

Baltimore, Md., he earned his B.A. in History from Westfield State College,

Westfield, Mass. In 1997 he graduated from Lutheran Theological Seminary,

Gettysburg. Rev. May served Hebron Lutheran Church, Avonmore, Pa., from June

1997

until Nov. 2001. While there he volunteered as a fire fighter and was a

member of the Avonmore Historical Society. He left Avonmore to answer a call to

serve Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Erie, where he remained until his death.

Rev. May was a member and past president of C.A.L.L. (Congregation Action to

Lift with Love) in Erie, and belonged to the Society of the Holy Trinity. He

enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. In addition to his father, of

Baltimore, Md., he is survived by his wife of 20 years, Narice A. Casper May;

sons

F. May, a freshman at Thiel College, and A. May, at home;

brother M. May and his wife Margaret, of Baltimore, Md.; and several

aunts,

uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call Wednesday 7

p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the

Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle St. A service will be held at Mount Calvary

Lutheran Church, 1603 W. 32nd St., Friday, December 9, 2005, at 11 a.m. Bishop

Ralph E. , Northwestern Pa. Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of

America, will officiate. The Rev. Baglyos, Chaplain of Thiel College, Dean

of the Society of the Holy Trinity, will deliver the funeral sermon. Burial

will be at Erie Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church,

S.E.E. The Vision Fund, 1603 W. 32nd St., Erie, PA 16508; or to the Society

of the Holy Trinity, c/o Immanuel Lutheran Church, 17 High St. Delhi, NY

Thanks for showing us the obit Narice. I finally got to the paper and saw

the one with the photo. What a nice looking man he was. Didn't know him

except through you but I will still miss hearing about it. What a guy he
