Dear Joann,So sorry you are going through all this. Your my age, and everyone's situation is so different that I don't know what advice to give. I would understand if your children are in denial. I myself was in denial of this disease. Your a step ahead of me if you have given your children the facts. I just told my kids that I'm having some problems with my lungs and left it at that. I'll tell them when I have a better idea of what is causing this. Besides they lost both their grandparents to cancer at an early age, so I just can't throw this at them yet. Try to stay positive. Of the three doctors I have seen about this disease, zero have given me an inkling as to how long I have or how progressive this thing is. I'll be looking for your posts to see how things are going. I do every thing around the house. I think they feel that if they ignor the fact that I am sick and going to die soon, that maybe it won't happen. I worry about what will happen to them. I called my Pulmodude today and told the Nurse about the problems I have been having at Pulminary Rehab, she was really surprised that no one had called my Dr yet, she asked what they did every time my sats dropped, I told her that they just hd me sit and rest awhile. She said she would talk to my Dr , and the Rehab center and then she would call me back. She called me back around 2:00 and said she had made a lot of calls for me, to a DME provider and found out I needed to have another 6MW done either at my PCP or at the Dr in the next 48 hours. Jo Ann ... You have a mixed blessing don't you. Nice to have the family unit but perhaps and ARE in denial.

The brochures sure can't hurt Jo Ann.

We say here that there is no expiration date stamped on our butts so don't focus on 'dying soon'.

You will reach a place tho' where you will do less and less...we all reach that place. Some sooner some later.

I'll be watching for the results from the doc.

God Bless!
