Guest guest
(((((((((Jeff))))))) first and foremost let me say YOU CAN BEAT THIS!! You see , my husband was not much older than you ( 33yrsold ) when he also was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer Sept O4 , they gave him 22months even with 6months of chemo. He had mets to the abdominal wall , and lymph nodes. He started chemo in January ( after surgery) he was on Oxaplatin/Lecovorin/5fu/avastin/calcium magnesium(for the tingles) He was VERY sick during the chemo with nausea, some folks arent , but he was (even with the array of anti nausea meds) BUT in June for his last treatment , we asked the doc, ok so how much longer does he have to live, and the doc said , you know I think you might just beat this thing! At his last scan Oct 12th 2005 he was CLEAN , no evidence of cancer!!! SOOOOOO whatever you do DONT GIVE UP THE FIGHT and keep your sense of humor ( it helps sooooooooo much) Also not sure if you are aware but if you have siblings they ALL need to be checked also. Hang in there , we are here for you if you need us Deb
