No I would not say he's ready. There is nickel in the bridge. Porcelain

is fired onto a stainless steel post which contains nickel and often

times a bunch of other metals.

Chelation would be at risk of pulling metals from this into him. Some

people say this is fine to do, but on A-M we had parents try to

chelate kids who had stainless steel caps..and found their children

dumping tons of nickel. The parents had to remove the children's caps

before any more chelation could be done. This showed that metals in

dental work will get into the body.

Are you also aware that metals in the mouth emit electrical current,

that interferes with the brains own natural current. This can

aggravate mood etc too.

Now he may be too toxic for ala at this point. But if he were only

using that...it does not have as big an affinity for metals other than

mercury like the dmsa does. I would not begin chelation. I know your

in a hurry to get him well, but you don't want to hurry so much that

you make him worse either. (just my opinion based upon my research)

Any chance on trying some supplemental lithium for the moods, and

addressing his adrenals for the rage?? This may help him until he can

get a metal free partial or something instead of the bridge. Because

even if you begin chelation today...these problems are going to take

time to go away. So you want to find things to make them manageable in

the meantime. Lithium orotate or aspartate are very helpful in mood

problems. Adrenal cortex got rid of rage in our house, adrenals and

thyroid are very important to moods and brain function..including

focus, concentration, brain fog etc. Please look at those as well, it

can help in get through chelation more smoothly.

PS: attention span-Cod liver oil, get those essential fatty acids

into him, taurine was very calming and added focus for us.

,

I had a 4 tooth bridge on the lower middle teeth. It never fit right and was

allergic to the cheap metals in it. Finally had enough money to remove it and

get one on that fit better. 2 teeth in the middle of it were dead and root

canaled, finally talked dentist into removing both of them, the first one had a

mercury filling in the root canal, been there over 40 yrs and leaking like a

sieve. The other had a chronic infection it so bad it had rotted off the metal

pin in it, also been there over 40 yrs. So you might want to be certain there

is nothing 'under' that bridge that could be mercury or causing health problems

also. There was no way to know on Xrays or exam.

Is he ready for chelation yet?

Hi All,

My husband has gotten his amalgams removed. The only dental issue now (other

thanprobably having cavitations we can't afford to address right now) is his

four-unit bridge on his top front teeth. The bridge is a little loose. One

dentist said

probably the old cement has worn away. The bridge needs to be replaced, but

that will

have to wait until we have the $$ for it.

At this point, can anyone think of any reason why he should not begin the

DMSA?

If you had a four-unit bridge (yes, it's probably a porcelain fused to metal

bridge)

like him, but no other amalgam fillings and no crowns, would YOU consider

YOURSELF

ready to begin chelation?

We're getting eager to start him on it, since his emotional and psychological

disturbances are making life very difficult. But thanks to Andy's book, we've

got him on

Gotu Kola, DMAE and Ginko Biloba for that. These supplements are really making

a very

noticeable improvement in his attention span (he's very ADD), concentration

ability, and

his memory. However, he's unable to control his impulsiveness, and

that is really hurting us financially! If his fits of rage hit again, we'll

start him on 5-HTP.

I know these things are due to his high brain mercury, so I have compassion

for his plight.

Those supplements are what's making life with my dear sweet Hg-poisoned

husband

liveable. We've got the other supplements we need.

Thank you in advance!
