Guest guest
redmountainfarm, glad that you are ok after the bout of DVT. It is good that you told your doctor about the pain, so medicine could be prescribed. Praying for your continued good health. ~Deb from KS redmountainfarm wrote: I had a DVT about a week and a half after I got out of the hospital after my surgery. My MD's said that not only colon cancer, but also the surgery and being flat on my back for a couple of weeks in the hospital could be a factor. Was on coumadin for while, but not now and do not seem to be having any problems. > > Hi, everyone. I don't want to worry anyone, but ten days ago I received an email with news that cancer patients have a high risk for DVT. I thought well everyone knows this already, but I thought maybe some need to be reminded of it. Many people who sit a lot have this problem, even people driving on a long trip or flying in a plane. Or kids who won't leave the computer. It is good that you or the person you care for get up and walk around. Except those in hospice who can do anything they like. God bless them. > > I am not really knowledgeable on DVT, but this is the link I was given. > > http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/dci/Diseases/Dvt/DVT_WhatIs.html > > > Take care, > ~Deb from KS --------------------------------- Yahoo!
