Guest guest
Sher, It sounds like you've just had the spirometry portion of the pft in your doctors office. I'm sure you'll have the full pft when you go to UWMC along with other tests. I understand your apprehension but try to just look at it as a chance to gather information. I can pretty much guarantee you will learn ALOT!! Beth Moderator Fibrotic NSIP 06/06 Dermatomyositis 11/08 To: Breathe-Support Sent: Monday, June 29, 2009 4:20:23 PMSubject: Re: Raghu PFTs wrong! MB...I'll be glad to go to UWMC in Seattle in Oct. Although apprehensive too of course, I'm sure I will come away with good info. I haven't had the 'usual' pfts in a long long time. Just at the docs office...blow into some sort of equipment there and that's it. MamaSher; 70, IPF 3-06, OR. NasturtiumsDon't fret about tomorrow, God is already there! Raghu PFTs wrong! My new pulmonary doc had me do pfts for her, and was disturbed by thedrastic change. Then she noticed that all my pfts with Dr. R werefigured on someone 1/2 my tallness. I am 5' 8", and they were figuredthere on someone 1/2 that size! So, all those PFTs are not even useful! - hi, glad to have you back. You and I talked on the phone yearsago, and we emailed too.Joy in Seattle
Guest guest
Yes, I'm sure I will learn plenty to bring back and share with the group too. Of course those who have been to a training hospital pretty much seem to know the same things but I'm really waiting to find what strain I have that is progresses so slowly. Of course I'm grateful but a "name" can help others too. MamaSher; 70, IPF 3-06, OR. NasturtiumsDon't fret about tomorrow, God is already there! Raghu PFTs wrong!
