Guest guest
Thank you so much for everyones advice. I called my Pulmodude today and told the Nurse about the problems I have been having at Pulminary Rehab, she was really surprised that no one had called my Dr yet, she asked what they did every time my sats dropped, I told her that they just hd me sit and rest awhile. She said she would talk to my Dr , and the Rehab center and then she would call me back. She called me back around 2:00 and said she had made a lot of calls for me, to a DME provider and found out I needed to have another 6MW done either at my PCP or at the Dr in the next 48 hours. She is making that appt. for me now I am waiting for her to call me back. Sounds like I finally got the ball rolling. For Beth: I am going to a teaching hospital I go to University of Michigan. This too I learned from all of you. Last year I asked my local Dr. to send me there. He wasn't happy but I tolded him I wanted to anyway. For Mama Sher; I live in Michigan, Divorced, only my Children and Grandchildren for support, which aren't much support. I have tried to find a support group in Mi, but there aren't any, so you guys are my only support. For Jack; No I don't have another oximeter yet but I will try to get another one soon. For everyone else THANK YOU
Guest guest
Jo Ann, Congratulations!! I'm so happy you rocked the boat a bit, now things should get moving towards getting you what you need. It shouldn't be necessary but the reality is we have to be pro-active on hour own behalf, watch what's happening and ask questions. Don't take for granted that one health professional is talking to the other health professionals who are taking care of you. Very often they are not. The most important thing we can do is look out for ourselves! Guest guest
Jo Ann .... I'm sorry to hear you do not have family support. Maybe that will happen as you tell them more about PF. Put Leanne's name in the subject line and request brochures about PF and give to your family. At least we all have the board. MamaSher; 70, IPF 3-06, OR. My Daughter is 24 years old, and my Son is 21 years old. has 3 children Hailey 6 years old, Alli 4 years old and Chase 2 years old. We all live together, and I take care of them all. I do every thing around the house. I think they feel that if they ignor the fact that I am sick and going to die soon, that maybe it won't happen. I worry about what will happen to them. How they will manage. Well it is getting late so I am going to bed now. I hope I hear from the Dr. tommorrow. Jo Ann 53 MI UIP 9/07 > > > > Thank you so much for everyones advice.
