Guest guest
He took me off because that day I had a " good " 6 minute walk. That was many months ago, I don't remember how many. And, my PFTs had improved a little bit. I'm also on Imuran - my current pulmo set up an appt for me with Dr. R in July after my cath for PAH - depending on those results - he may have to prescribe something different that Imuran. She also put me back on the oxygen - and oxygen at night with my CPAP. I have been experiencing dizzy spells, and tingley hands. Dizzy could be related to heart or lungs. I had a CT of my lungs a few weeks ago, but she had nothing to compare it to - was waiting, and waiting for past CTs from U of W. There was some inflammation and fibrosis, of course!! My cough is back too. I think I should have a blood draw to check out the osteopenia, liver, etc. At this point - " what ever " is my attitude! My cath is next Tuesday. Guest guest
Joy A six minute walk saturation is one time and at a specific speed with no steps or hills and carrying nothing. It may be on a good day or bad day. While its a critical tool, if you don't have an oximeter, I'd strongly recommend one. This will allow you to detect a change and to see if you drop below acceptable levels under different conditions. Six minute walk can improve or worsen just based on what speed you choose that day. It's the best indication a doctor can get in their office, but you can provide more information if you are checking at home under different conditions. > > > He took me off because that day I had a " good " 6 minute walk.
