Guest guest
Dean. I find this unlikely. Why would a dithiol chelator bind to what is basically carbon? THanks Sheila I'm not sure how fast the DMSA is absorbed by the gut, but I would say that it is possible that the Activated Charcoal would have absorbed the DMSA. I've never seen this discussed on this list, but it is likely that Activated Charcoal would affect the round and should not be given on-round. Just my opinion, not sure if it is factual. Hi Dave, Activated Charcoal is like a big vacuum in the gut and binds everything. That is why it is used when people have ingested something poisonous, or taken a drug by mistake that they don't want absorbed. Some people use it an hour or so after taking an anti-fungal to mop-up the killed yeast. We take it before amalgam extraction for that reason. I don't think it is selective in what it mops up. It is inert and should not be used as a supplement (or with other supplements), and gives you a black stool (which can give you quite a fright :-) Thanks, DeanSA
