Hi Narice...

No ideas...this is one thing we haven't encountered...LOL I definitely

would call Dr. tomorrow if you haven't already. They may give him some Lasix.

Can you check his blood pressure??

When I called Hospice yesterday afternoon, b/c Glenn was very lightheaded

for hours...he has this on occasion, but only lasts a few seconds

usually...this was constant...first thing they asked me was his ankles

swollen....not sure

why tho? Think it was something to do with blood pressure????

He was o.k. today without the lightheadedness, so now we think it was just

his body getting use to the Fentanyl patch.... He's been really ill, after 2

good days in a row, with diarrhea since this afternoon...and had to take an

Oxycodone for break through pain.... What a horrible roller coaster ride!!!!

Lots of hugs and prayers, Donelle

Caregiver to Glenn

Poor Phil, as if he has not gone through enough. I don't have any

ideas.

Just a question. Has anyone ever been in the hospital and not had

to have an IV? It seems that they put in IV no matter what. Is this

just standard procedure? Love, Ingrid

I don't know, just have to give it time. Wish I could think of something. I

know when my legs felt like logs and were swollen, (after surgery, so still

in hospital) I would stand up at the end of the bed and hold on to it (end

of bed) and just sort of walk sideways back and forth and sort of dancing

LOL. or just gently kicking my legs. That seemed to get circulation going

and felt a lot better. Don't know if Phil feels like moving around but if he

can gently move his legs, bending at the knee it might helps even while he

is reclining.

Hope he feels better soon. Hugs and Prayers Jolene
