Helen - while I wouldn't make a habit of this, if you need to do it once or

twice, it should be ok.

I would really be particularly careful with children, because they are not able

to communicate what is going on. There have been reports on the AM list of

people basically killing their kids with the side effects of high doses,

without even knowing it. Only because the kid made some apparently off-hand

remark were these parents able to work out what was going on. This, for

example, is why Andy suggests a maximum dose for kids 50% less than that for

adults.

So, I would say that in the case of children, you need to be far more careful -

to the point of extreme rigidity, to avoid any negative effects.

Dave.

So sometimes it's convenient to dose the kids their at 2 1/2 hours than 3

hours, I mean varying within a round, like we're going out and it's easier to

remember if I dose now, at 2 1/2 hours than when we get there, then going back

to 3 hours, etc...could this be problematic vis a vis maintaining the blood

stream level of ALA? Would the earlier dose cause a spike which could be doing

some damage?

Thought I'd ask.

Helen
