,I so understand, I find myself amazed when I consider what I all take and the fact that so far (knock on wood and kiss the medicine gods) no 2 things have done a number on me. Unfortunately I think the soy protein (actually the plant estrogens') in the Medifast that has allowed me to lose 26 lbs so far may be reacting with the Tamoxifen I take for the Her2+ breast cancer and that may be why I'm suddenly having massive drenching sweats all of a sudden. I just realized that today because I have always stayed away from soy since the bc dx. I actually hope its my thyroid or something else. Blood tests today for hormone levels and thyroid crap since the chest xray and cbc showed no infection. Wish me good results. My niece takes lexapro and it has done wonders for her. I have been on the "evil" paxil actually for 19 years now. Tried to switch to prozac a few years ago because paxil is the worst of course for weight gain and almost committed suicide. Nope me and paxil get along just fine. But I certainly understand how working with strong drugs can vary between people. My doctor actuall said one day that if asparin actuall had to go through all the tests drugs do now, it would have never been approved!Have a great night and a better morningDyane Phoenix IPF 02> > >> > > *Hello guys.*...I had my appointment with the psychiatrist today! Great news. Ironic I saw my psychiatrist Tuesday for just a prescription

appointment as we haven't changed anything for a couple of years. No one

can know whether Lexapro will be the answer but it is for many people.

However, the key is that he'll keep working until he finds what's right

for you. Meanwhile, Lexapro is more a dual purpose med (depression and

anxiety) although still an SSRI.

Love and Prayers, Peggy IPF 2004, FloridaWorry looks around, Sorry looks back, Faith looks up. Hello guys....I had my appointment with the psychiatrist today! Hey, Bruce you were so right!!! He had all my records from the psychologist so I didn't need to rehash my whole emotional life! He went over all my medications and asked about all my medical issues . We discussed my recent negative experience with the Zoloft . We talked about family issues and my NSIP. So, I'm going to try 2.5mg of Lexapro for the next two weeks..barring any GI trouble. I so understand, I find myself amazed when I consider what I all take

and the fact that so far (knock on wood and kiss the medicine gods) no

2 things have done a number on me. Unfortunately I think the soy

protein (actually the plant estrogens') in the Medifast that has

My niece takes lexapro and it has done wonders for her. I have been on

the "evil" paxil actually for 19 years now. Tried to switch to prozac

a few years ago because paxil is the worst of course for weight gain

and almost committed suicide. Nope me and paxil get along just fine. But I certainly understand how working with

strong drugs can vary between people. My doctor actuall said one day

that if asparin actuall had to go through all the tests drugs do now,
