Chelation will help. You need ALA with optional DMSA or DMPS. If you are not already familiar with the vast information resources available in the files and links here and in other related groups, please have a good long look and ask questions if you need clarification about how to proceed safely with chelation. You have a mild adrenal sign (Ca and Mg going low and Na and K going high) and I would suggest testing cortisol levels. You can start with some adrenal cortex extract and see how you do. Other non-Rx options are isocort, licorice, and various herbal choices. You may need some hydrocortisone so I would see if you can find a doctor who will prescribe it for you based on results of the saliva test. --
Guest guest
>> I would be grateful for any help regarding my son's 2nd hair test >> No. 181 >> Many Thanks >> Kenny Hi Kenny, What accounts for your son's Bismuth levels sky-rocketing in the second hair test 5 months later? Stomach medicines? The tin levels also increased. Was there some exposure, or is it that the new supplements have started to clear the toxins? It seems that lead may be more of an issue than mercury as he does meet any counting rules. Andy says this is the only one we should be concerned about when it reaches the yellow. Lead is chelated with DMSA. I think you can see a lot of change by focusing on the ratio's: The supplements seemed to have helped a lot with his blood sugar with the ratio (Ca/Mg) going from 37 to 11. His metabolism has increased (Ca/P) perhaps allowing for great clearance of Tin and Bismuth. One of the thyroid indicators (Na/K) is on the edge of range. Most of all his adrenals have improved a lot. The adrenal sign is much less and the ration of (Na/Mg) gone from 41 to 5.7!!!! That is great and shows the supplements have eased a lot of stress. We seem to have a back-log of hair tests to interpret since Dave went. You guys will have to keep asking, as I know some have been missed and it is not always possible (for me anyway) to read and respond to all posts. We will also have his free T3 and T4 and TSH checked shortly as suggested by Dave when his 1st test was posted and also by and if it is OK I will post it for an interpretation. I will also ease back a bit on the chromium as it seems to be going up quite a bit. We are at 5 rounds of chelation now (currently ALA alone with DMSA added once a month). I truly do appreciate all the help and advice that is given by everyone. Kenny

Please forgive my ignorance but I'm not too sure what the Saliva test is? I have looked in the files but can't find anything. Unfortunately I won't be able to chelate for a while due to quite a few mercury fillings. I also have 2 false teeth due to an accident as a teenager held in I thought at the time by gold posts but more likely Titanium is it OK to chelate with these once I get rid of the fillings? I think but I'm not certain that Andy said Titanium is OK to chelate with. Kenny
