Guest guest
The Migrant Clinicians Network (www.migrantclinician.org) is partnering with researchers from the Battelle Centers for Public Health Research and Evaluation (http://www.battelle.org/hhs/cphre/monitor.stm) to seek funding for a study to investigate pregnancy outcomes for farmworker families. Areas of focus will be pre-existing and gestational diabetes and exposure to agricultural chemicals. We are recruiting health care organizations who are interested in participating in such a project. Specific requirements are: § A patient population living or working in an agricultural area that is largely Hispanic § Provision of comprehensive perinatal care, including care of complications such as gestational diabetes, to at least 100 women per year § A genuine interest in helping to contribute to the knowledge base related to this patient population.
