Guest guest
Hi All, I discovered this wonderful group several months ago, by way of AMC. I was reading AI at the time, then bought HTI, and had this test done in January. It appears to meet 2 counting rules. http://www.livingnetwork.co.za/files/hairtest_163pdf I'm 58 and was diagnosed with MS just a year ago, after an attack of stabbing pains in my arm. MRI and lumbar puncture were done to confirm the diagnosis. A year earlier I was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy, with somewhat numb-like paresthesias on the bottoms of my feet. That had started just after surgery to remove an ovary with a rather large cyst, which in turn had followed a long period of extremely heavy menstrual bleeding. At present I still have the paresthesias in my feet, and similar sensations in my hands have been added, along with (since last summer) balance problems and " rubbery legs. " Other symptoms include tinnitus, low body temp, brittle thinning hair, short-term memory problems, difficulty concentrating, etc. I took Rebif injections for 7 months ending in January. I'm in Seattle, so have been to see , who recommended kelp for mild hypothyroid, in addition to the usual supplements Andy recommends in AI. I'm also in the midst of having my remaining 7 mercury fillings (plus one metal crown) removed, and hope to be done with this by the end of June, then start chelating with the proper protocol. The previous several years I had been feeling generally unwell, especially with digestive problems and low energy. I had read a lot (of course!) and tried many supplements, including, at various times alpha lipoic acid, chlorella, and cilantro. I didn't even know I was mercury toxic, but had read how great these were supposed to be for everybody! So now of course I wonder if their use could have made me more mercury toxic than I already was. I'm also trying the BBD (best bet diet for MS), though I haven't yet totally avoided all the forbidden foods, but I'm getting there. (, I'm glad you said it helped your walking issues----it gives me hope!) Anyway, I've been spending a great deal of time reading the posts here and the archives, and learn more every day. Of course I forget it right away!<g> There are so many knowledgeable and helpful people here, I'm just very impressed, and feel lucky to have found this place. Thanks, Alice
