Guest guest
Well it was interesting. I decided to take the kids on a bike ride. Now that Mitchel finally has a bike his size. got him all ready in his helmet and knee pads, he even had little gloves for hand pads, he looked very cute. It took 25 minutes to get to my mother in law's house. she lives about 7 blocks away. It should take just a few minutes by bike. Mitchel would pedal...then STOP. rode ahead cause she got tired of waiting. I was doing the 'see how slow I can go without falling over' routine. He didn't understand walking your bike across one street. I wanted to show him that even though it wasn't a real busy street. He stood next to it and took the tiniest little steps... didn't really grasp the idea of 'we're in the road, get across the street FASTER' I don't know how many times I had to stop suddenly and jump off my bike to keep from falling. On the way home he did better on the last two blocks He yelled " I'm speeding " and he was going better. The whole time though there and back I'm telling him, pedal pedal.. round and around.. keep going , now DON'T stop!!! It was very tiring for me... Although in the long run, I think he did improve slightly towards the end. And he did enjoy it. Next time we're just going around the block.
