Guest guest
Targeted Diagnostics & Therapeutics Inc. has received FDA clearance to market its new blood test, called GCC-B1 for the detection of recurrent colon cancer. TDT says their new test represents a major breakthrough because its detection mechanism finds metastatic colorectal cancer that is often missed by other methods. The company says that GCC-B1 can find one cancer cell in 10,000,000 normal cells by detecting the presence of guanylyl cyclase C (GC-C), which is found on metastatic colorectal cancer cells. put in the search for GCC-B1 all kinds of words about it. sounds like a good test to do. cost about $495.00 have to ask them for the blood kit, take it to your Onc. to draw the blood, then send it back to them to test. then they will send your Onc the results. tried to go to their site, but it wasn't up. said to have it tested every 2 or 3 months for first year, then 6 months for year and so on. Don't know if have to order a new kit each month you have it taken. really need to get to their site and find out more info about it. will keep tring to find out more about it. -hanky
