Guest guest
Though I would let you know how nice it was being away for my girlie weekend - not to make you jealous but to suggest you do the same! A whole 48 hours filled with sleeping, reading books, chatting randomly about anything from global warming to one night stands, cooking, nibbling chocolate and getting through lots of bottles of red wine. NOT expensive either, since we all shared a cottage, and it's off season. Definitely to be recommended, if you can get anyone (read, DH!), to babysit!! Even better - DH was on his knees when I returned, whispering slightly desperately (and humorously) in my ear " please, please never go away again " . Meanwhile DS through herself in my arms and told me everything they had been up to, and DS chuckled and gave me a hug. So they all missed me, but they also had a great time! (MIL hasn't forgiven me for abandoning my family though, but mostly I think because it wasn't done in her day). I would love a girlie weekend away but at present would settle for a bath, in peace and quiet and an early night with a cup of hot chocolate.
