Just diagnosed, has anyone had this procedure- HELP!

I was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. I will be haveing a

laproscopic resection of the descending colon. Has anyone had surgery

sikilar to this. I have many questions, concerns, fears,etc & would

love to chat, discuss, or hear your experiences. Thanks for your help

Walter, thank you for sending the link in answer to Alan's question. I went

there and scrolled down to the May 18, 2005 video, then clicked Launch Site. It

was easy to do. Not only does the video (about one hour long) show the colon

cancer surgery, but there was a short video clip that showed how the surgeon

opens the patient up for a " hand assist " which is what my Sam had.

Alan, did you have your surgery yet? Praying for you and everyone on here.
