Guest guest
I am trying to get some DMPS in the UK so I saw a Mercury doctor today, a Dr Damien Downing in Harley Street, in central London. Normal doctors don't know anything about mercury, so I thought I'd try a doctor that at least had some mercury experience, even if he is not aware of the Cutler Protocol and uses unsafe chelation methods. He was only willing to " consider " prescribing DMPS to me, if he tested me to make sure the mercury is coming out of me under my current Cutler protocol already. He insisted on me being a patient of his and of him keeping track on my progress by regular testing and monitoring. He insisted on doing things his way. I insisted on doing things my way and the Cutler way and he just about agreed we could find common ground if he did loads of tests. I have done 17 rounds and I am at 5mg DMSA every 2.5 hours in the day and 3 hours at night. This dose and timing is perfect for me. I am 8 months amalgam free. My health is a hundred times better than it was 8 months ago when the final amalgams got removed when I was in a very sorry state. Life is very much getting back to normal (-ish.) This doctor was critical of the Cutler protocol, (although he had not read the book!) critical of my 2 hair tests (but his tests where perfect), critical of some of my cleansing methods(all of which made me better), critical of my supplements (which are as per Cutler recommends) and he did attempt to blind me with science. He eventually started talking about testing my genes for errors…. " because it would be interesting to really KNOW what was wrong " ....at 900 euro's for the test plus his fees! But I talked him out of that for now. He wanted me to get the following tests, then he would consider prescribing me DMPS: -blood test for metals allergy -stool test for metal excretion -urine test for metal excretion -liver function test. I got the urine test in the post today…..a 6 hour test…shouldn't I be doing a 24 hours collection? And should I do this during or after a chelation round? I guess at the end of a round. Question: are any of these tests of any value to me? Another Question: are these tests of any value to the doctor? Will they actually tell him anything that will enable him to see the chelation IS working so he will give me DMPS? I do not feel the need to get any of these tests done whatsoever. I know I am mercury toxic, I know chelation and all the other cleanses I do are working because I am 100 times better than I was…however if I want the opportunity of trying some DMPS…..this is my best bet. He did describe some of the treatments he might recommend and they all involved me giving him loads more cash and him injecting me with ….. stuff. None of which is of any interest to me either now or in the future. I guess the liver function test might be interesting for me, but I already know my liver is congested and the steps I have already taken have already made it much better. Herbal cleanses, supplements and castor oil packs. He also did a visual " Contrast Sensitivity function " test (CSF) which was new to me and confirmed my head was full of neurotoxins. This was the only interesting thing but even so already I knew that from my symptoms and my life. Note to any newbies reading this in the UK…up to now I would NOT suggests seeing this doctor for mercury issues. He is way too set in his ways and unable to look at anything not in his narrow frame of reference. He will blind you with science and set you a chelation protocol that we here using the Cutler protocol consider dangerous. I am only seeing him to get DMPS to continue my Cutler Protocol. If I do all these tests, which I can't see being of any value to me, and convince him to give me dmps, it will cost me a load more money….minimum £600 ($1200) and probably double that. Is it worth it? Just to get DMPS? Will those tests tell me anything useful? Sunshine
