Guest guest
Here is his after school version. The goal is CONVERSATION about what he did during the day. LaShaun tells me something good, or bad, or whatever that happened (I do need her cooperation for it to work!) Today's additions are again in parentheses: Putter goes to school. Putter came home on the bus. Mama was happy to see Putter. [i read this with an exaggeratedly happy face] Mama asks, " Putter, what did you do in school? " Putter says, " (I went bowling). " Mama says, " Oh, was that (fun)? " Mama says, " What would you like to eat for a snack? " Putter chose, (spaghetti). My plan is to find out a school activity and then to write it before showing the story to Putter after school for several weeks. Then I will find out a school activity and NOT write it down but let Putter see the blank space and see if he can come up with anything at all. If he cannot, then I will start to write it down. It seems possible that one day he may actually tell me something. It is at least worth a try! Salli
