Andy gets reports from lots of toxic people, and when he hears enough bad reports, then I think he warns people about it and doesn't recommend whatever is causing the problem. I believe he errs on the side of caution. And it's more than just bad reports, he has other issues with them, I don't recall details right now, but you can read them in the Links/Files section, or search onibasu. Now, my sister uses one occassionally, and she says she feels better after. I tried one a few years ago, and it made me feel worse. I don't remember all the details, but felt worse overall and I remember my arms even feeling heavy.
