Guest guest
Ok, I'm sort of treating myself now. According to Canary, I have high cortisol, high estrogen, low progesterone and they think T3 is not getting into my tissues. My Free T3 and Free T4 were at the low end of " normal " . According to people here and on the Adrenals/thyroid forum they both need to come up so Armour would be a good first shot at treating thryoid. I have extreme joint/muscle pain when I get stressed and just achy all the time otherwise. My sleep is horrible -can't get more than 4 hours a night and wake up in pain and unrefreshed. I'm taking pregnenolone, selenium, progesterone and assorted vitamins. I'm freezing alot and just can't seem to absorb any heat yet hot weather makes me miserable (since I don't sweat?) I tried chelation again over the last several months but had some many reactions to it I felt I needed to support my body more. Am I crazy to try and balance the hormones myself? You're always supposed to use a doc but I can't find a decent one. Should I just treat and test with Canary? I'm getting desparate. Thanks, VAl
Guest guest
Val, Hi Val < What are your testosterone levels?? I beleive high estrogen may go along with low testosterone..?? Also I find and others say that hormonal problems go hand in hand with liver problems. It also could be that it has to do with cholesterol digestion as hormones are made from cholesterol. Here is my experience with that same problem of not sweating and being cold. For me that was low progesterone,, I took wild yam > I used to hate summer as much as winter. I would be freezing in the summer and never broke a sweat. Even after gettng better I had post traumatic stress around this as I was so scared of that symptom.. The first time I used store bought progesterone cream I started to sweat. After many years I have even now gone onto the opposite ,now I am into menopause of sweating a bit too much with hot flashes. This happens as my estrogen levels are now low with the menopause. I can see how when my liver is stressed with not taking my liver supports , my hormonal symptoms are worse. It is a balancing act .. Do you know of anything you can take to help your liver == ie the phase 1 and 2 in liver funciton?? NAC is good for us who need more cysteine... devinitely not good for everyone. I agree . for some of us with stressed organs it is not worth chelating or at least alot until you get those supports that make things go more smoothly.. nanci > > > Ok, I'm sort of treating myself now.
