Guest guest
A friend of mine recently experienced dropping of her sats on her concentrator. However, she could still get the same sats she had on her POC. So, the supplier brought a new concentrator and her sats were horrible on it as well. She didn't have a liter miter nor did the supplier but I suggested every part in between be checked. Turns out that the hose was fine, the connectors were fine, she doesn't use a humidifier, but the supplier reused the same plastic connector that hooks to the concentrator. It had a crack in it. So, I again encourage liter miters. But also a reminder that these may be fancy expensive machines but the air gets to us through some cheap tubing and far cheaper plastic. Your swivel connectors are a place for leaks to develop. You can dip into water and look for bubbles where there are connections. Humidifiers and their hookups are potential sources for leaks. Tubing can leak although thats rarer than any of the plastic. And the coupler to the concentrator or reservoir. For those who carry gas cylinders as portables, the o-rings are famous for giving problems and needing replacement at the least opportune time. Also, keep spares of everything.
