Guest guest
My husband has been chelating with DMSA. The previous 3 rounds have been at 25 mg every 4 hours for the complete 3 days. We started the entire chelation process gradually - 6.25mg for two rounds, followed by 12.5mg for two rounds, and then the three rounds of 25mg each. He had no problem with the first round of 25 mg. But for the last two rounds he complained after the 5th or 6th dose that he had a headache that seemed to initially start between the eyes and then a few hours later also feel it in the middle top part of the head. We thought maybe he was hungry, and it seemed to go away after taking a snack, but it came back again. So the suspicion was redistribution problems. I almost decided to stop the round, but decided to continue with one more dose to see if it got worse - it did not, and actually went away after the 2nd night of the round. So we managed to finish the entire round without further problems. The only other glitch was, when we went out to dinner and he could not resist eating ice cream. On the way back I sensed (and he confirmed) that he felt on edge. He has had frequent sinus issues a year back, which improved with supplements and diet control. Is this how redistribution reactions are? Should one continue the doses to finish the round? He has been eating gluten and sugary baked goods - maybe 2 to 3 times a day - could that be the problem? Sorry this was so long. Just want to figure out whether we need to take a break from a few rounds or not, or cut back on the dosage etc. We almost began ALA this last week (at 6.25) but decided to wait one more weekend. Just as well! Thanks
