My intestinal problems started after heavy mercury exposures as well, during my early 20s. You will need to determine how you respond to DMSA and ALA chelation through trial and error. It is ok to chelate with ALA alone if that is what you decide to do. > As a side note: when my Crohn's flares up, it actually helps to do > some chelation with ALA! From your history it looks like mercury is most likely. J > Regards, > > Finkle >

TK--- ALA is the preferable chelator if one tollerates it without one of the others. > > As a side note: when my Crohn's flares up, it actually helps to do > some chelation with ALA! TK--- if you can do this much ALA without significant side effects then you do not need to use either of the other two chelators. > A second side note: I actually don't KNOW that my health problems stem > from mercury. TK--- do a DDI Hair Elements Analysis Maybe the root cause is some other metal. Or something > completely different! Guest guest
This is probably a person to person thing. Lots of people do just fine on ALA only. I am one who takes mainly ALA. I did a lot of DMPS when I first started chelating, but now I feel that ALA helps me more. You will have to judge it for yourself. There was also a list posted a while ago from Andy with the likely source of different symptoms (body or brain mercury). Most, if not all, of my current problems seem to reside in my head. FYI, I take 30mg ALA (3 hours) and 16mg DMPS (8 hours). I can handle more DMPS, but find I don't need it. -Ed > > Hi, > > I've had no amalmgam fillings. I'm ~30 years old. My father was a > dentist.
