downsizing capsules

I too have had to cut the dose of larger capsules and do it as follows:

I open the number of empty gel caps that I will subdivide into (e.g. a 30mg dose

into 3 10mg doses)

I open the large dose capsule (e.g. 30mg) onto a small piece of paper prefolded

in half

I divide the powder into 3 piles using a kitchen paring knife

then push one third onto a second piece of folded paper that is overlapping and

under the first.

that allows me to pick up one dose (10 mg) and " pour " into an empty capsule.

the folded piece of paper acts like a funnel to get the powder into the capsule

without spilling.

then I do the same, one at a time with the remaining 2 smaller doses.
