Your efforts, in combination with the efforts of every other member of the Family Advocacy Program, have made us a strong force for positive change in this state and I am excited to see what we will be able to accomplish in 2008. We are down to the wire on the Burden of Proof Legislation. We are hoping that it will be posted for a full Senate vote on January 7th which is the last day of the legislative session. With all the busyness of the holiday season, I just wanted to remind you of the action alert at http://capwiz.com/thearc/state/main/?state=NJ. I know that many of you have already emailed your Senator asking them to vote " yes " on S2604. If you have not yet responded to the action alert, we need you to call or email your Senator on this issue before Monday's vote. We are not entirely confident that this legislation will pass so it is extremely important for your Senator to hear from you. If you have already emailed your Senator, a quick follow-up call to their office reminding them to vote yes would be a big help. I know that your action on this issue will make the difference!
