Guest guest
Hi Kris. Have you ever had your uric acid levels tested, or did mention this? See my other post about this, in this thread. If people do start having this tested, it would be interesting to see the results and talk about it in the group. And yes I use the Thorne brand molybdenum, 1000mcg per capsule, and it is available from some online vendors, such as Naturamart.com and illnessisoptional.com ----------Jackie In frequent-dose-chelation kristinhomme wrote: told me to take 1000 mcg molybdenum with each meal, for a total of 3000 per day. I don't think I notice any effect (altho perhaps my MCS is slightly better), because I've always taken some, and because my bigger problem is adrenal -- I'm still trying to figure out a treatment while being conservative with cortisol. But my brother said he began feeling poorly recenlty and determined it was because he'd run out of molybdenum. Thorne (from ) makes a 1000 mg size. > So do you take it all at once, or spread out through the day? Do you notice a difference in taking it? What symptoms does it help? I'm actually wondering if I might benefit from taking a higher dose like you, because I do seem to need high doses of some things.--------- Jackie

Few years ago my hair analysis showed high level of Urea or Uric acid and I still remember my doctor comments, " Don't know why so many chemically sensitive people have high levels of this... " ---------Hi Sunny. Hair tests don't show uric acid. Below, Andy says it should be *serum* uric acid test, which means blood. So I think you're mistaken on which type of test it was from.--------Jackie ---------I may have confused you, because I was talking about my molybdenum levels on my hair test, and then started talking about uric acid levels in regards to this too. Evidentally, Andy says testing serum uric acid is the way to determine whether you need high levels of molybdenum or not.-------Jackie My current physician uses ARL lab for hair analysis, Is it OK to use it? ---------The preferred hair test here is Doctors Data.--------Jackie How can I order DD hair kit? Do I need a doctor to order this? ---------No. You can order a hair test without a doctor through Direct Labs, but you want the DDI Hair *Elements* test. There should be info about how to do a hair test in the links and files section. You get a discount if you mention the Autism-Mercury group or Moria's website.-----------Jackie Thanks in adavnce!!! Regards, Sunny > > I have never noticed it making me sleepy. But your post about only tolerating a small dose reminded me that I forgot to comment on the uric acid connection, and totally spaced this out in my earlier discussions about this! Duh! > > Anyway, when I mentioned my concern to that maybe I have now taken too much molybdenum, she mentioned that the next time I have lab work done, that we can test my uric acid levels, which evidentally has some correlation to molybdenum levels/needs. And Andy also talks about this in the Mark Schauss interview, when he talks about testing. > > So here are the links to the interview, which can be found in the Links section of our group, and we also now have it in pdf format in the Files section, thanks to Ross and for getting this done! And I copied the part where Andy talks about uric acid levels and molybdenum, and there relationship to mercury and lead. > > So Sunny, I'm wondering if you have a lead problem, and it would probably be good to get your uric acid levels tested. And this might be something you could get your regular doctor to do, because uric acid is related to gout, and is something they will test. And just a sidenote, in HTI, And does say that gout is common with lead poisoning. And so, according to this, molybdenum *isn't* good for everyone, but probably for alot of us, and the uric acid test is one way of determining this.-------Jackie > > > http://labinterpretation.com/content/track01-mark-schauss-andrew-cutler > > > http://f1.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/APEBSbBJ4TgTEeUnwWz09zCtxYDgsLerFlDIF_09Sa2kK0mORKw\ 67h8K8LC75s50nxe76kSU-2WSQnjYkUrB_A/%20Cutler%20and%20Mark%20Schauss%20Int\ erview.pdf > > Quoting Andy Cutler, from page 10 of the above interview. > > " Serum uric acid is very, very helpful.
