I have read the posts from Andy, they are worth searching for and reading, plus I have researched the topics for myself. I know that MMS and iodine are not going to help, I have spent time in the past reading about it. It's not my job to convince anyone. It is my job (as one of the moderators here) to point out that both are not part of the protocol of this group. This group was set up for people who have already decided that they want to chelate using Andy Cutler's protocol. In this group we don't debate things that are not part of protocol - it's a waste of everyone's time. J
Guest guest
- I just want to send a word of caution. I've seen two common ways of appoaching detoxification improperly. One, is to freeze and try nothing at all. Some of us get lost in this place where we can't figure out what's right and what's not - and so we obsessively go over details, but never take the first step. The other, is to uncritically try one thing after another; sometimes never even staying with one thing long enough to evaluate whether or not it's helping or hurting. It can be difficult to find that pace in between, where we keep our critical mindedness, but remain open to trying something and sticking with it for long enough to see what it's doing. This is particularly important for us, because we _have_ to do something, but on the other hand, if we do the wrong thing we could damage ourselves more. Remember, we are moving substances that destroy nervous tissue - that's your brain. Do it wrong and you're SOL. So, I'd suggest your going and having a look at various perspectives on detox. Bring questions on ALA/DMSA/DMPS chelation here and read the archives - see if you can dig up sensible answers. See what we have to say about MSM/Iodine and try to understand if it makes sense. Remember, it's not about the person who says it, thought you do want to see if you can evaluate their critical capacities and their willingness to share information, in the end it's about whether or not what they are saying appears to make sense to you or not. Now, what I'd say is that neither NaClO_2 nor iodine are going to bind to mercury and make a water soluble product that will allow your bloodstream to carry it to the liver/kidneys for removal - that's what a chelator does. The reason chelators need to have sulfur complexes is that SH groups, known as " mercaptains " for " mercury capture " , bind strongly to mercury. So, MMS is not a possibility. I'll also point out that Andy and Jim Humble are far from the same. First of all, Humble's selling a " miracle solution " , and a " magic " one at that - and I tell you, anyone who wants to sell me a magic miracle, I want to avoid like the plague. Secondly, Andy's a chemist. You saying that reminds me so much of the amount of doctors i have seen who dont believe in Candida..... > Please read through the information in the files and links sections to > get a good idea of what this group is about. I know what the group is about, im sorry for not keeping on topic of the group i just wanted help and advice. I dont know how much longer i can live like this, i just want to do more and more things to help me get better, even if it means taking things not on the protocol but that could help! Alls im living on is eggs and rice cakes, and your not supposed to eat many eggs because of the sulphur...
