Guest guest
I had secondary infertility after DD1, I had had a miscarriage prior to that pregnancy. Both the miscarried preg and DD1 were achieved after one month (two nights! at age 29) of taking chances. When DD1 was 1 year old we started trying for DD2 and after over another year (about 18 unwanted periods -short cycle) and because of my previous history of getting pregnant easily, my GP referred me to a fertility specialist. No treatment or tests were done because the next month I was pregnant. All of which might look as if I'm going to agree with people who say to stop focussing and worrying but I totally disagree - I'm not saying that people should get uptight and stressed out by choice, but it is not helpful (in my experience, very hurtful and disruptive to my family) to suggest that if only the woman/mother could stop thinking about wanting to be pregnant, it would just happen. The fertility specialist we saw put it in a nutshell - " Not getting pregnant when you want to be, causes anxiety - not the other way around.
