The half life of Cortef is short. 3 h later your body is waiting for

another hit.

Very generally, does this

It means that you need to take doses 3-4 times per day. You could try

2.5 mg per dose, 4x per day, with the last dose at 4 pm so that it

doesn't keep you awake.

Yes. Starting the ACE and cortef at the same time would be confusing.

I would suggest starting the ACE first, build up to the recommended

doses, see how much relief you get from that, and then start the

Cortef later.
