Guest guest
I'll stop there before I get into my major larger babi's <rant> ... to be continued no doubt Gethyn does reassure me what a 'beautiful' bump I have when I get down after the umpteenth comment from some insensitive health professional; relative; stranger; friend .......... I got big with Lucas quite early & I got really really down when 2 of the guys at work told me what they thought were sweet and funny anecdotes about how tween-tiny their wives were when pg - was worse because they both chose to tell me on the same day.... A***E . I expect when I get back they'll enjoy telling me how their DWs sprang back into shape the next day (steeling myself for the bikini stories). Siobhan (34) mum to (7 & 1/2) & Lucas (6 wks later & the pre-pg jeans fit - honest - as long as I don't breathe or eat)

Guest guest
Yes Vicki, it does help and also explains quite a bit. I know I have very poor muscle tone (I suffer from something called Joint Hypermobility Syndrome and this is one of the symptoms). I went to a post-natal exercise class and the teacher felt my abdominal muscles and was amazed at how far apart they were!! Guest guest
Good, I'm glad it helps. I was telling my Mum about it last time I saw her, and decided to do a demonstration: we lay side by side on the floor, with legs bent, and lifted our heads. I felt her stomach (youngest child 30 yrs) and there was a trough but no split - she felt mine (youngest child 20 mths) and screamed as her fist disappeared into my intestine!! Very, very funny ) Vicki Portman http://www.plushpants.co.uk > Yes Vicki, it does help and also explains quite a bit.
