Guest guest
Sissi I just can't believe how much crap they shovel on you. I am just so angry on your behalf. You really aren't that far away - you want me to come kick somebody's ass? I'll do it. Of course someone will have to take custody of and my husband while I'm in jail? Guest guest
Sissi, I'm sorry this is happening to you. But they've messed with the wrong woman this time, I think. Guest guest
I am getting ready to play this route at the school tomorrow. I refuse to get him any more vaccines for my own personal reasons. In Arizona you can do it for religious or personal or medical reasons. You must sign the waiver in person in front of the school nurse. So, tomorrow, it's off to school I go again. debbi --- Win $50 in FREE Candles! http://tinyurl.com/3sbv *April is Autism Awareness Month* So the retaliation begins First of all, let me say that I know for a fact that the MMR vaccine did NOT cause Boone's autism. He's never had an MMR vaccine. I object to vaccines for medical reasons. Specifically, the presence of Henoch-Schonlein purpura in my family. I recently forced the school system to request a functional behavior analysis on Boone. Due to their actions, I had some leverage including violations of federal law regarding school lunches, forgery of an IEP and other problems such as physical restraint. The school principal called several weeks ago to inform me that our religious waiver for immunizations was not vaild because we are Catholic. I told her she was mistaken. Nevertheless, she continued to call and harass me over this issue for several weeks. Each time I told her she was mistaken. This morning at 9 a.m., she called to tell me that if I didn't have Boone immunized or a medical waiver in her office by noon, he would be removed from the school. I asked if she really felt this was worth a lawsuit. I am not an idiot and I know my rights. I do not think it is a coincidence that they chose to pull this stunt on a Wednesday. They know I am on deadline. I called several lawyers, all of whom were in court this morning. I called my pediatrician's office to explain the crisis and they faxed a medical waiver to the school. Then the principal called to tell me she received the medical waiver and everything was okay. " And by the way, " she said. " You were right. I just found out that it doesn't matter what your religion is, as long as you object to vaccines a religious waiver is okay. " I was mislead, " she said. WTF??? " Just a little harassment from the administration for kicks? " I asked. She just laughed and apologized. Bastards. The last time I was a troublemaker over the restraint issue, they threatened to put me in jail because my son, who had an active kidney disease, (crescentic henoch schonlein purpura nephritis with nephrotic syndrome) had missed too much school. There is a new school superintendent. I think he needs to know what's happening. I need to see where he stands as well. Guest guest
Obviously this school system works on the " how far can we push the Garvey's before they start pushing back " theory. My Gawd. This would frustrate me to no end...what is their problem? Penny :/ So the retaliation begins

Guest guest
>> " She's never beaten me, " I said<< That was perfect! If that's showing your ass then you have one good looking ass!! WTG!! Warm Regards & ASD 11/25/00 in Maine Re: So the retaliation begins > > I really showed my butt. > explain please? I called everybody from the sped director to the health department to the superintendent of schools to bitch about it. I was so pissed off when the principal said she was mislead by the health dept. -- Then the health dept said they hadn't talked to her since Jan. It was all a big bunch of crap designed to ruin my freaking day. Harassment -- that's all. Anyway, it was infuriating and still pisses me off. Maybe when I get over it a bit more I can tell you what happened. Here's one example: Principal: " You have to remember we're a school taking orders from a health department on this. It's sort of like a newspaper taking orders from a restaurant. " This was an attempt to ridicule the newspaper where I work. We do have a very large entertainment section. It's much larger than the daily paper -- maybe she thinks I write the gourmet column -- I don't. It was SUPPOSED to be an insult but I'm especially proud of it since I am the editor of this section. So I said, " You aren't very good at this. You need to take more lessons from Kathy Wooten. (sped director -- super bitch). She said, " Yeah, she's pretty good isn't she? " " She's never beaten me, " I said. Sissi
